Tom Orlando has been a home owner / resident of Austin since the mid-70s, having been brought to town by the U.S. Air Force where he served at Bergstrom AFB as a Transportation Management Officer.  The Air Force moved Tom about quite a bit with assignments in Japan, Spain and the Philippines, [oh yes, let's not forget Little Rock, Arkansas!]

You know what they say, "Once you've lived in Austin, no place else feels quite like home."  Well, it's true!  After 18 years of traipsing about the globe, Tom returned to the place that held his heart.

Since leaving the military, Tom has done several interesting things.  He has worked for high tech companies like IBM and Dell.  He has owned his own businesses which provided a variety of products and services.

One of his businesses, Magic Castle, built "smart homes", you know? like on the TV show Eureka.
